2019 | GOTS test winner in Stiftung Warentest’s textile labelling test
Stiftung Warentest tested five labels that represent environmental protection and better working conditions in the textile industry. The GOTS standard was rated the best. GOTS was the only one of the labels tested to show full transparency and traceability while adhering to strict ecological and social criteria along all stages of production – from the field to the finished textile.

Since 2015, sport promotion service has been developing and producing the “OPEL BASIC COLLECTION” for around 5,000 European Opel dealers and European Opel fans. These are fashionable jackets, gilets, shirts, jumpers, polo shirts and T-shirts featuring the “exclusive Opel design”. The collection is constantly updated and developed further. The latest addition to the range are high-quality long-sleeve and short-sleeve T-shirts made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. The T-shirts were immediately met with enthusiasm among the “Opelers” as they were extremely comfortable to wear. In this way, the company wants to highlight its efforts to provide sustainably produced products in addition to an attractive range of clothing.

Jürgen + Florian Pankonin and their purchasing staff are regularly on site at their long-term manufacturing partners in Asia. Here in August 2019 in Dhaka/Bangladesh when placing a large order for GOTS-certified T-shirts made of organic cotton with 5% elastane for a well-known German beverage manufacturer. The high-quality, “sustainably” manufactured T-shirts are packed in environmentally friendly paper bags instead of the usual polybags and will be used in January and March 2020 during a large-scale, nationwide marketing campaign. Once again, sps was awarded the contract for large sections of the new Mercedes Benz AMG Collection 2020! The company’s in-house design team were able to win over the Stuttgart-based company again thanks their use of fashionable, high-quality materials, contemporary cuts and sophisticated detailed solutions for high-end, ultra-exclusive items. Jackets, hoodies, various T-shirts and polo shirts, in both ladies’ and men’s versions, will be available for the automobile group’s global merchandising sales at the end of January 2020. The articles must meet the highest quality standards. All details such as fabrics, prints and accessories, such as buttons or zippers, are put through their paces and certified by the SGS Testing Institute at Mercedes Benz AMG’s expense.
