The summer weather and a great program meant the New Apostolic Church’s International Youth Convention 2019 in Dusseldorf was a complete success.

The T-shirt with the church convention motto “Here I am”, specially created for around 35,000 young participants from all over the world and produced by sps, was enthusiastically received. It was “omnipresent” during the 4 days of the event (30 May – 02 June 2019) and impressively shaped the image of the event.

The first-class quality from “sustainable production” was convincing, the T-shirts were made by sps from pure, GOTS-certified organic cotton.

Other GOTS-certified products made from pure organic cotton by sps, namely hoodies and scarves, were available in the event shop and were very well received.

The organisers of the 37th German Evangelical Church Congress 2019 in Dortmund (19 –23 June 2019) also attached great importance to “sustainably produced articles”. The many thousands of helpers at the event were kitted out with GOTS-certified T-shirts made of pure organic cotton, this time with 5% elastane. Everyone commented on how comfortable the t-shirts and scarves were.

Founder and Managing Director Jürgen Pankonin (66) has appointed his son Florian (37), who has been Sales Manager for many years, as an additional Managing Director.

Florian Pankonin assumes responsibility as Managing Partner, as he has also acquired company shares. In this way, the company wants to recognise the sustained, positive development of the business and set the course for a further successful future that is characterised by continuity, creativity and reliability.

We have been GOTS certified since 1 August 2018! The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognised worldwide as the leading standard for clothing made from certified organic natural fibres. The certificate ensures that not only the material (for example of a T-shirt) comes from monitored organic farms, but also that manufacturers comply with comprehensive social criteria. This includes ensuring legitimate employment contracts and working conditions are in place, comprehensive fire and environmental protection, medical care and prohibits child and forced labour. The entire textile value chain is transparently documented using so-called transaction certificates.

Important note on the misuse of the GOTS certificate: GOTS products may only be regularly sold on the market if the German supplier, such as our company, is also certified. Our license number is: Ceres-0551. The legitimacy of any company tendering can be checked! This can be done easily via the GOTS public database by entering the license number or the company name in the “free text” field.
